Saba’s new outdoor project unveiled at the Salone del Mobile Milano draws inspiration from nature. At the center of the presentation is Oasi, the modular seating system designed by Robin Rizzini. True to its name, its soft shapes evoke a sense of calm. Behind the apparent simplicity of its volumes lies a wide range of possible configurations, while one of its signature elements is the use of natural materials, such as cork.
The Teatro Magico collection by 967arch also expands into the outdoor world thanks to new finishes and variations. The side tables, made of ceramic glaze on stoneware for exterior use, capture the vitality of nature, with a color palette inspired by sky, earth and vegetation.
Milano Design Week also hosted the preview of Voilà, a new armchair designed by Nicola Pavan. Its reversible upholstered element allows for a dual aesthetic: by flipping it upside down, the backrest becomes the seat and the seat becomes the backrest. Each component can be separated, making material recovery easier and reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
During Fuorisalone, the brand once again explored its dialogue with art. The immersive installation “Botanical Frequencies” at the Via Piave Flagship Store featured Brazilian artist Júlia Martins Miranda, who presented three new paintings interpreting botanical themes and the chromatic universe of Saba’s latest collections.
Design then met fashion in the windows of Marella’s flagship store on Corso Vittorio Emanuele where Saba took part in “Beyond Matter”, an installation by the creative studio Ultrapresent in collaboration with Salento based artist Cosma Frascina. On display were the Teatro Magico console in the havana and cashmere finishes, alongside the sculptural Anam armchairs by Federico Peri.
